Beside, not behind

According to the premise of a new book, Beside Every Successful Man, wives who commit themselves to helping their husbands fulfill their career ambitions can still have richly satisfying lives even though they put their own careers on the back burner. It’s an assertion that is already rankling feminists, but author Megan Basham (whose name you may recognize from WORLD’s culture pages) is convinced that wives can find just as much fulfillment by using their talents, skills, education, and qualifications to help their husbands succeed, and in turn positively impact their families–both financially and emotionally.
