Road Trip #1

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. (Romans 1:20. ESV.)

The Lord knows I love road trips and this summer He has blessed me with two! The first was 16 days, four states, and 3,504 miles! We covered California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

We visited beautiful lakes, a historic desert town, and saw storms that loomed on the horizon just to the north and south of us. The lightning was amazing and reminded me of God's power.

Our sovereign King graciously blesses us with safe travel and we keep Him and His precious Son the center of everything. "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39. ESV.)

1The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. 2Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. 3There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. (Psalm 19:1-3. ESV.)

4 Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, 5 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. 6Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat. (Psalm 19:4-6. ESV.)

"Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes, but see not, who have ears, but hear not." (Jer 5:21. ESV.) All honor and glory are His. Praise be to God!
