"The Rebelution" blog (based on 1 Timothy 4:12) has posted a piece entitled "How to Raise Boys Who Read". (I actually saw this link when K12 Tweeted it.)

I am so thankful the boys in my household test at a grade level or two above their own but this might not always be the case. There are some days when getting them to engage with a book is like pulling teeth. I found the information in "The Rebelution" publication of interest and am passing it along.

Throughout history more lives have been changed through books than by any other means. Books are important. Reading is important. Charles Spurgeon, the prince of preachers, wrote: “The man who never reads will never be read; he who never quotes will never be quoted. He who will not use the thoughts of other men’s brains, proves that he has no brains of his own.”
