Dominion and Fear Are With God

I feel the scriptures are packed with what I consider to be helpful (encouraging) words. This original "daily devotional", speaks to the heart of the reader regardless of their circumstance.

Be Healthy

Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity. (Ecclesiastes 11:10 ESV)

Be Wise

Do not take to heart all the things that people say, lest you hear your servant cursing you. Your heart knows that many times you yourself have cursed others. (Ecclesiastes 7:21, 22 ESV)

Do not speak in the hearing of a fool,
for he will despise the good sense of your words.
(Proverbs 23:9 ESV)

The Only Thing to Fear is God Himself

Though he slay me, I will hope in him;
yet I will argue my ways to his face.
(Job 13:15 ESV)

"Dominion and fear are with God;
he makes peace in his high heaven.
Is there any number to his armies?
Upon whom does his light not arise?
How then can man be in the right before God?
How can he who is born of woman be pure?
Behold, even the moon is not bright,
and the stars are not pure in his eyes;
(Job 25:2-5 ESV)

Be Intimate

Having a relationship with God is very intimate. Likewise, I feel our bonds to one another should also be deep, faithful, loving, and profound. Each should strive to be the friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24) and learn the important lessons God teaches us through those He places in our life.

Do not forsake your friend and your father's friend,
and do not go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity.
Better is a neighbor who is near
than a brother who is far away.
(Proverbs 27:10 ESV)

The Message bible and found this: "Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family."

We've seen many friends come and go, but true friends stick...by...you...like...family. In this age, family is spread all over the world. The point is relationship. Friendship is give and take, forgiving and forgetting.

With God, relationship is eternal. Like true friends, He listens, responds and stays with us. If anyone feels God has left them, He isn't the one who moved away in the relationship. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. No one can pluck us from His hand. We are etched into the palm of His hand. He loves and forgives, and has sent a comforter..teacher..advocate and counselor to live within us. What a great friend we have in Him!

Love this, your reminder of friends!
